PURPOSE:To avoide the release of a degeneration operation state when a system comes to a degeneration operation state and the cut/resupply of power for inspecting an input/output device in an information processing system provided with a degeneration operation processor. CONSTITUTION:When a degeneration operation processing part 1 sets he degeneration operation state, a time monitor processing part 2 starts timing. A degeneration operation judgement processing part 3 recognizes a fault input/output device when time is out, and it informs a state inspection processing part 4 of time-out. The state inspection processing part 4 checks whether a fault is restored or not by issuing an input/output test instruction. When it is not restored, the time monitor processing part 2 is caused to restart timing. When it is restored, an operator is informed of restoration through an input reception processing part 5. When the operator indicates the release of the state, the input reception processing part 5 outputs a restoration instruction to a restoration processing part 6 and the degeneration operation state is released. |
