PURPOSE:To extract information truly desired to be obtained from an input sentence by performing analysis in accordance with an information structure corresponding to a sentence pattern after estimating the sentence pattern of the input sentence. CONSTITUTION:The input sentence (2) is string collated, for instance, with the plural sentence patterns (1) and (4) registered in a sentence pattern part 3 in a sentence pattern estimating part 1 and the coincident sentence pattern (1) or (4) is extracted. Then, what kind of the information structure is present, that is, what kind of an information sentence (3) is present is recognized from the correspondence chart (6) of an information structure correspondence chart part 4 by the extracted sentence pattern (1) or (4) and what kind of the information (3) is present in which part of the sentence pattern is recognized from the information structure. In an information structure analysis part 2, the required information sentence (3) is extracted corresponding to the information structure and is transferred to a next application 5. In the application 5, information retrieval or the like, for instance, is performed based on the obtained information. Thus, the required information can be accurately extracted. |
