OBJECT IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide an object identification system in which an object is identified using sound wave generated from the object when vibration is imparted thereto thus making identification of an object possible even in a dark place or an unilluminated place where the object can not be identified by an image. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of objects 11 to be identified are previously given vibration individually by vibrating means (a hammer 10) and sound wave generated from the object 11 captured by a microphone 2 and fed to a sound wave processing section 3. The sound processing section 3 stores a data representative of the feature amount of sound wave in a data memory section 4 for each object. A detecting section 5 receives an output data from the sound processing section 3 when an arbitrary object is hut by the vibrating means 10 and then collates the data thus received with the feature data of each object 11 stored in the data memory section 4 thus identifying an arbitrary object vibrated from the output data.
