The method for controlled glueing of the turns of a wound-up element is characterised in that it consists in passing the said element (2) through a porous medium (5) impregnated with a quantity of adhesive liquid, which is kept substantially constant, ensuring coating of the entire surface of the element in order to obtain a low and uniform glueing force between the turns. Application: reels of metal wire, textile or similar yarns, or optical fibres. <IMAGE>
