PURPOSE:To provide an inverter device, in which the range of element selection is widened and circuit constitution is simplified and which is miniaturized easily, by reducing the deterioration of efficiency by the on-state voltage drop of a switching element and reducing the withstand voltage or current capacitance of the switching element used. CONSTITUTION:One pole of a DC power supply Vs is connected to the intermediate tap of a transformer T, and both ends (a), (b) of the transformer T are bonded with the other electrode of the DC power supply Vs through switching elements S1, S2 while being joined with both ends of load Z through switching elements S3, S4 respectively. The direction of windings from one end (a) of the transformer T to the intermediate tap and from the intermediate tap to the other end (b) are formed in the same direction. A short-circuit mode, where energy is stored in the transformer T, and a step-up-and-down mode, where energy stored in the transformer T is transferred to the load Z, are repeated. |
