摘要 Optical position measuring unit, comprising: a light-receiving device, including a pixel field, for forming a light-receiving region and for outputting signals with respect to the light detected by each pixel in the pixel field; a patterned material which is arranged upstream of the light-receiving region of the light-receiving device and has a pattern with a characteristic such that a part of the pattern is projected onto the light-receiving region by an incident light beam in such a way that an image of this part of the pattern uniquely determines the direction of incidence of the light beam; and a signal processing device for extracting information with respect to the direction of incidence of the light beam on the basis of the signals output by respective pixels in the pixel field. The pattern preferably has an M-sequence characteristic. Furthermore, an optical coordinate input unit is implemented with the use of a coordinated detector which is formed by the use of at least two optical position detecting units of the type described above, and of a position indicator including a light-emitting region.
