<p>A fluid flowmeter comprises a conduit (1) through which in use fluid flows by way of inlet means (6) and outlet means (7) for flow rate measurement. A first transducer (4) is provided for transmitting signals to and receiving signals from a second transducer (5) by way of the conduit (1). The second transducer (5) is spaced from the first transducer (4) along the conduit (1) for transmitting signals and receiving signals from the first transducer (4). Means in the form of a detector (8) is provided for detecting the time of flight of the signals between the transducers (4, 5) in order to measure the flow rate of the fluid along the conduit (1). Means in the form of a rod (9) extends along the conduit (1) to provide for the fluid an annular flow path (10) along which in use the signals are transmitted.</p> |
