<p>The method requires the use of a sewing machine equipped with a needle (7) and a looper (18) which cooperate with each other, in accordance with a preset operating direction, in order to obtain a seam on at least one article. The method includes moving the article to be sewn along either one or the other of two horizontal paths (x, y), perpendicular one in respect of the other, so as to locate a preset seam line in correspondence with the axis of the needle (7), actuating said needle (7) and looper (18) synchronously and independently from the operation of these latters, the actuation being such so as to keep the above mentioned operating direction tangential to the above mentioned seam line.</p> |
