The invention relates to a protein having a monocyte or macrophage migration activity, a gene containing a DNA coding for the protein, a recombinant expression vector containing the gene, a transformant prepared by using the recombinant vector, a process for producing the protein by culturing the transformant and separating a protein having a monocyte or macrophage migration activity from the product of culture, and an immunopotentiator or wound remedy containing the protein as the active ingredient.
