The invention relates to a tile covering, in particular for the liquid-tight and/or acid-resistant and alkali-resistant floor surfacing which, in particular, can be subjected to high loading. Said tile covering comprises tiles with a polygonal outline which exhibit in each case one flat upper side, a flat or textured underside laid in a bed of adhesive composition, and tile flanks running essentially perpendicularly with respect to the upper side, the flanks of adjacent tiles delimiting joints which are likewise filled with the adhesive composition from beneath and/or with a separate joint-filling composition from above. The novel tile covering is characterised in that the tiles are in the form of hexagons and consist of metal. <IMAGE>
