A window curtain for motor vehicles, which is guided displaceably in the vehicle interior along a vehicle window by means of sliders in adjacent guide rails, the sliders being fixed along two opposite material edges of the curtain, can be slid from a screening stretched position to one side of the vehicle window in folds. This curtain is provided with tucks which start from both material edges, are directed towards the respective other material edge and the seam lines of which, which are visible in the material surface and are in each case opposite the other, lie approximately on a straight line.
