The invention relates to a stereophonic sound processor for a right-hand and a left-hand reproduction channel, it being possible to operate front and rear loudspeakers via output stages following a signal processor. To improve the bass reproduction, means are provided by means of which a sum signal is formed from the unprocessed input signals of the two AF channels, and the signal components taken from the sum signal via a low-pass filter are added to the AF signals processed in the signal processor and allocated to the rear loudspeakers.
