Compounds of the formula I or their salts <IMAGE> wherein R1 denotes substituted alkyl; (subst.) alkenyl; (subst.) alkynyl; R2 denotes halogen; nitro; (subst.) alkyl or (subst.) alkoxy; R3 denotes hydrogen; alkyl; alkenyl or alkynyl; R4 denotes a heterocyclic radical or the formulae <IMAGE> where E is CH or N; and n denotes 0, 1, 2 or 3, possess excellent herbicidal and plant growth-regulating properties.
