<p>In an alkyl glucoside of formula (I) R1 is an alkyl group having 2-5 carbon atoms, preferably 2-4 carbon atoms; R2 is an alkyl group having 4-7 carbon atoms, preferably 5 or 6 carbon atoms, the sum of the carbon atoms in R?1 and R2¿ being 7-11, preferably 7-9; G is a monosaccharide residue; and x is 1-4, preferably 1 or 2. The use of the alkyl glucoside as a surfactant in a cleaning composition is also disclosed.</p> |
