IMAGING PROCESS FOR BAR CODES

The process is for use in a bar code reader. Bright field illumination is obtained by means of a special illumination of the bar code printed on a reflective surface/wafer and special reception optics. Optimum contrast between the images of the bar markings and the surrounding reflective surfaces provides enhanced recognition reliability.
