The invention relates to a vehicle roof with at least one roof part which can be open whilst travelling and can be moved into at least one opening position on guides which are arranged in roof parts lying laterally to the first roof part in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. A roof part which is fixed at least some of the time and on which the lateral roof parts are fastened can be moved with the roof part which can be open, in accordance with the main patent (Application P 4203229), into a storage space in the rear part of the vehicle in order to release a cabriolet-like roof opening. In contrast to the main patent, in the present application the vehicle roof dispenses with pivoting the lateral roof parts onto the rear roof part. It has, in contrast to the main patent, B-pillars which can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and with respect to which the rear roof part, which is fixed some of the time, is mounted pivotably. By pivoting the rear roof part and then pivoting in the B-pillars, only very little storage space is required and this is situated between the seats and the rear axle.
