The copying system comprises a scanner module 100 formed as an independent frame, having an image reading section 101, a first data I/O section 102 and a first synchronizing signal generating section 104; a printer module 200 formed as an independent frame, having an image forming section 202, a second data 110 section 202 and a second synchronizing signal generating section 204; and a system control module 300 formed as an independent frame, having a third data I/O section 301 and a system control section 302.
