PURPOSE:To increase the bleaching power of the bleaching (fixing) solution composed of ferric ion complex salt or persulfate without giving any adverse influence to photographic characteristics by using the specific bleaching accelerator. CONSTITUTION:In bleaching of silver halide photographic material by the bleaching (fixing) solution containing ferric ion complex salt or persulfate, the photosensitive material is preprocessed in the bath containing the compound of formula I [A is (substituted) amino groups; N-contained heterocyclic residual groups; R<1> is H, carboxyl; R<2> is H, methyl; m is 1, 2; n is 0, 1; Z is H, formulas II thru VI; R is (substituted) alkyl; X is halogen], preferably before bleaching. Or this compound is contained in the bleaching (fixing) solution. Thereby, the color photographic material having photographic sensitivity is rapidly bleached or bleach-fixed. |
