PURPOSE:To provide a recording device which does not consume wasteful electric power more than that in the past, simplifies circuit constitution also and is capable of making a cost low. CONSTITUTION:An eliminating heating roller eliminating a visible image recorded on a recording medium is constituted by forming an insulator 17, the first conductive layer 18, conductive rubber 15 and the second conductive layer 19 on the outside circumference of a roller shaft 16 in order. The conductive rubber 15 is the conductive rubber which has pressure electrical conductivity and is heated through electrification. A hatched part within the conductive rubber 15 is a part pressurized by a recording medium P and press roller 2, electrical conductivity appears only on this part, an electric current flows only on the part of the conductive rubber 15 where it is pressurized by applying fixed voltage to a space between the first conductive layer 18 and second conductive layer 19 and Joule heat is made to occur. The generated Joule heat is given to the recording medium P to be pressurized and conveyed between the eliminating heating roller and press roller 2. |
