LAMINATE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain laminates having a biodegradability and also a superior surface glossiness and a production method therefor. CONSTITUTION:In a laminate formed by providing a layer 2 of a polyester of 3-hydroxybutyric acid.3-hydroxyvaleric acid copolymer on at least one surface of a substrate 1 made of paper or paperboard, the surface of the polyester layer 2 has a glossiness of 70% or more. This is produced by the following method: a melted and extruded polyester of 3-hydroxybutyric acid.3- hyroxyvaleric acid copolymer is laminated between the paper or paperboard substrate 1 and a plastic film 3 having a surface roughness of 0.5mum or less and never fusing to the polyester layer 2; and after the polyester is crystallized and set, the plastic film 3 is released.
