<p>PURPOSE:To keep frequency of reproduction of a filter element less and carry out reproduction efficiently as well as to prevent deterioration of graphite due to exhaust particulates blown off from a catalytic body. CONSTITUTION:A roughly columnar catalytic body 8 with a honeycomb structural body as its carrier is inserted and loaded on the upstream side of a casing 2. On the downstream side of the catalytic body 8, a cylindrical filter element 10 making a smaller diameter than the catalytic body 8 is concentrically arranged, and exhaust gas passing through an outer peripheral part of the catalytic body 8 flows from the outer peripheral side of the filter element 10 to the inner peripheral side. On the filter element 10, a heater 13 for reproduction is provided.</p> |
