<p>PURPOSE:To provide a golf club head excellent in shock resistance without incurring the drop of work efficiency by filling foamed substance, which is made by fusing the pre-expanded particles of styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer resin particles together by heating, into the hollow of the head of a metallic shell so that it is integrally joined with the inside of the shell. CONSTITUTION:Foamed substance 7, which is made by heating and fusing the pre-expanded foaming substance of styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer resin particles containing foaming agents, is filled into the hollow of the head being made by the metallic shell constituting a club head 1 so that it is integrally joined with the inside of the shell, in the hollow 6 of the head. Moreover, the quantity of filled pre-expanded foaming particles is set according to the weight of the shell of the club head 1, and the magnification of foaming is set according to the quantity of charge. Hereby, the shock resistance of the club head 1 can be improved without incurring cost up, and also the weight of the club head 1 can be equalized without causing a vacant space, etc., in the hollow 6 of the head.</p> |
