<p>PURPOSE:To impart adequate traction force to the vertebra of a patient in a laying position by placing a moving plate to be pulled by a weight on a base plate laid on the head side on a bed and supporting a belt-shaped mask integral with a pillow to be placed with the patient's head on this moving plate. CONSTITUTION:The base plate 1 having about 60 or 65cm length is laid on the head side of bedding A on the bed and the moving plate 2 which has guide plates on both sides and is provided with a roller 2a movable longitudinally on the base plate 1 is placed thereon. A post 3 is erected on the moving plate 2 and the pillow B integrally supporting the belt-shaped mask 4 hanging the patient's head is disposed on the moving plate 2. The moving plate 2 is pulled by the weight of the weight 7 installed to the bottom end of a cord 6 suspended downward from a pulley 5 born at one end of the base plate 1, by which the patient's vertebra is pulled. As a result, the traction force is imparted to the vertebra of the patient in the lying position. A sufficient treatment effect is thus obtd. with the patient in a cosy posture.</p> |
