PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recording apparatus reduced in ink consumption other than printing and capable of shortening the rising time of the recording apparatus at a time of the closing of a power supply. CONSTITUTION:At a time of the closing of a power supply, the temp. and humidity under the use environment of an ink jet recording apparatus are detected (steps 11,12) and the detection levels are judged (step 13) and, when the levels are lower than predetermined levels, no uniquely determined ink discharge is performed and the preparatory number of times of emission corresponding to the detected levels is set (step 14) to raise the recording apparatus. |
