PURPOSE: To manufacture worsted with excellent spinnability without damaging the inherent property of Angola rabbit wool by aging the wool after treatment of the opened Angola rabbit wool with a treatment oil agent containing a specific compound. CONSTITUTION: Worsted is manufactured by treating a 100 wt.% Angola rabbit wool opened by a usual open wool machine with a treatment oil agent containing 14-16 wt.% water, polyether family non-ion compound (A) and 2-4 wt.% colloid silica gel ethylene family compound (B) (e.g., polyether family non-ion compound added with colloidal silica), and then aging, drying, carding, keeling, fine spinning and throwing. At the keeling process, it is preferable to maintain binding strength and cohesion or the like of the fiber by spraying an oil treatment agent containing 6.5-8.5 wt.% water, 1-3 wt.% (A) and 0.4-0.6 wt.% (B) against to the 100 wt.% sliver to the sliver coming out of the first step. |
