PURPOSE:To prevent speed changing shock at a high oil temperature without deteriorating traveling performance of an automobile by controlling speed change based on a speed change line at a high oil temperature by which a normal speed change line is displaced to the low speed side when an engine is in a high load condition at a high oil temperature. CONSTITUTION:This controller of automatic speed changer is provided with a friction factor which consists of a 3-4 clutch 27 provided with a drift-on-ball and so on, a multi-stage speed changing mechanism 10 which can switch a power transmission route by tightening and releasing the friction factor, and a speed change control means 51 which carries on speed change control based on a speed change line preset according to engine load and vehicle speed. This controller is also provided with an oil temperature discriminating means 52 which discriminates whether or not the temperature of hydraulic oil supplied to the friction factor exceeds a preset reference value, and a line displacing means 53 which displaces a high load range of the speed change line at normal time to the low speed side when it is judged by the oil temperature discriminating means 52 that the oil temperature exceeds the reference value. |
