PURPOSE:To easily produce a pottery without biscuit firing process by forming the unglazed clay which is formed by adding a mixture of a persimmon juice and sodium silicate to porcelain clay and kneading, producing a green body by heating at a specified low temp., applying a glaze and glost-firing. CONSTITUTION:The unglazed clay is formed by a method in which the mixture formed by mixing the persimmon juice and sodium silicate is added to the porcelain clay and kneaded, or by a method in which the mixture formed by mixing the persimmon juice and sodium silicate is added to a volcanic ash and kneaded, and after forming the unglazed clay in a prescribed shape, the unglazed clay is heated at 70-100 deg.C for 3-5 hour to make the green body, and the graze is applied on the green body and subjected to glost-firing at 800-1200 deg.C to produce the pottery, or tapioca and the persimmon juice is mixed to the volcanic ash to form the unglazed clay, and after melting the unglazed clay in a crucible furnace, the unglazed clay is allowed to flow into a mold to produce the pottery. By any of these method, because the biscuit firing process is omitted the pottery is produced easily and also inexpensive material such as the volcanic ash and the tapioca can be used. |
