KNOCKING DETECTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To judge correct knocking by offsetting an unnecessary energy amount such as machine vibration noise component and the like and extracting only the amount of vibration generated by knocking. CONSTITUTION:Necessary component is taken out from output of a knocking sensor 1 by a filter 2, and a vibration energy amount is detected by a vibration energy detecting unit 3 while an integrating gate is at a high level. A back ground noise amount which is measured beforehand and memorized in a micro processor 4 is subtracted from this vibration energy, so that only knocking vibration component is obtained. It is thus possible to judge correct knocking.
