PURPOSE:To enable the charge of a new mud pipe while continuing the feed/ discharge of mud at the time of extending a mud pipe used in a mud shield construction method. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 14 with plural shield pipes 17 each of which can accommodate a single pipe 9, a mud pipe, is rotatably provided between stator flanges 15, 16 respectively provided with connecting pipeline mechanism 120 and a connecting cylinder 35 that can receive a feed mud pipe 7A. Annular seal rubbers 122, 351 are provided in such a state that the inside 17S of the shield pipe 17 positioned between the connecting cylinder 35 and connecting pipeline mechanism 120 can be connected in the shielded state to inner parts 12s, 35s. A mud pipeline such as a feed mud pipeline 70 is directly connected to a shield device by the seal rubbers 122, 351 to feed/discharge mud, and at the same time, a new single pipe 9' is make-up charged in the other shield pipe 17 other than the above-mentioned shield pipe 17. |
