PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus which can hold and transfer a toroidal raw tire intermediate product with bead parts formed on both insides while keeping its form accurately. CONSTITUTION:An apparatus comprises a periphery holder 8 for holding the outside of a raw tire intermediate product, a pair of bead holders 9 which are placed on both sides of the holder 8 and hold the bead parts of the intermediate product, and a bead holder driving mechanism 16 which moves the bead holders 9 symmetrically to the holder 8 so that they come close to each other or separate from each other. The periphery holder 8 and the bead holders 9 are respectively composed of more than one holding segment 11, 11..., 13, 13,..., which is arranged along the circumference at equal intervals and is movable radially, and holding segment extending-contracting mechanisms 29, 44 which extend or contract these holding segments by moving them radially. |
