CERAMIC MOLDINGS WITH HOLLOW CHAMBER

PURPOSE: To almost independently each other specify the inner surface and the outer surface of a ceramic hollow body by a method wherein two pieces of untreated ceramic molded articles for forming a hollow part by fitting projections of both articles are press-molded by using the same ceramic raw material and changing each other their compression densities and these are fitted together and are sintered. CONSTITUTION: A part 1 is can-like and is provided with a rim 2. A part 3 is lid-like and is provided with an inside projection 4. When the parts 1 and 3 are fitted together, the inside projection 4 of the lid is received by the outside rim 2. The untreated density of the part 1 receiving the projection 4 is made lower than that of the part 3 with the received projection 4. These parts 1 and 3 are fitted together and are sintered. It is possible to surely weld the parts 1 and 3 and to obtain a sintered molded article provided with a hollow chamber 6. In addition, the difference in untreated densities of the untreated parts 1 and 3 is determined each time in accordance with the raw material.
