A computer disc station locking device comprising a cartridge for insertion in the disc slot at the front face of the station, and a separate key for securing the cartridge, in which a front portion of the cartridge (2) comprises flange (12) limiting the insertion length of the cartridge into the disc station, the cartridge then being positioned in an aperture (8) in the inner cover (14) of the disc station, a bar (6) being arranged at the rear end of the cartridge, being such prestressed that, when the key is withdrawn from the cartridge (2), that a dead bolt is lifted to above the interior cover (14) of the disc station, thereby to abut against the rim of the aperture (8) when an attempt is made to pull the cartridge (2) out of the disc station, and the bar (6) comprising a combination of cams and interstices corresponding with iterstices and cams respectively on the key, allowing said corresponding key to lower the dead bolt into the cartridge, thereby allowing the cartridge to be pulled out of the disc station. |
