Polyalkylene oxide conjugated beta -amides are disclosed, as well as the polyalkylene oxide conjugates of taxol, taxol analogues and intermediates prepared therefrom. Processes for preparing the polyalkylene oxide conjugated beta -amides and forming the polyalkylene oxide conjugates of taxol, taxol analogues and intermediates therefrom are also disclosed.
