The invention relates to a screw- fed extruder or injection moulding machine for the manufacture of multi- coloured plastic mouldings which exhibit a marbling effect in which to produce the marbling effect, the invention provides that the filling orifices (4,5) in the barrel (1) of the machine are axially spaced apart and that the screw (9) has a number of parallel screw channels (10,11) corresponding to the number of different plastics. A number of individual screw channels for the different plastics, each extend from the screw tip, different distances along the length of the screw. Thus the rear filling orifice (5) only fills the screw channel (10) extending as far as that orifice, while the screw channel (11) extending only as far as the front filling orifice (4) remains free and is charged with plastics from the front filling orifice only. <IMAGE> |
