Roll stand for feeding paperweb to i.e. a printing press comprising a rotating reel (1) for a first roll (8), from which a web is fed, and a second roll (11), which is to replace the first roll (8) when its diameter has decreased to a previously determined value, and also comprising means for splicing of the expiring web (9) to the replacement roll (11), and means for cutting said web (9). The roll stand (1) comprises two roll spindles (7.1, 7.2). Each spindle (7.1, 7.2) is connected to an acceleration motor (16) by a free-wheel drive transmission (10) in a first frame end section (2), preferably arranged in direct connection to each spindle (7.1, 7.2). |
