The invention relates to coating compositions for the underfloor protection of motor vehicles, which are in the form of aqueous dispersions with a solids content of from 60 to 80 %. Said solids consist of a homopolymerisable acrylic ester which can be crosslinked irreversibly so as to have a rubber-like consistency, and of fillers and additives, the proportion of the acrylic ester dispersion to the fillers plus additives being preferably about 80 : 20.
