Installation for the production of boards of wood-based material, in particular particle boards and fibreboards, with sawing station for the division of a slab into individual boards of given length in permanently intermittent sawing operation. The sawing station has a turret-type tool carrier pivotable about a horizontal axis and with swivel drive, and two spaced tool heads with at least one circular saw blade. They can be swivelled alternately into a working position between saw benches or saw-bench sections and also into one of two changing positions arranged below the saw benches or saw-bench sections. The swivel drive is set, in relation to the swivel speed, for a change of position in permanently cyclical sawing operation. <IMAGE>
