PURPOSE:To obtain a resin bonded rare earth element magnet and a method for manufacturing the same in which shape collapse, a dimensional change of a compression molded form are eliminated in manufacturing steps, high rustproofing strength can be obtained even with flaw and physical properties such as a transverse strength, etc., are excellent. CONSTITUTION:A resin bonded rare earth element magnet is formed of curable material in which mixture of rare earth element quenching magnetic powder and resin is compression molded and impregnated with rust preventive agent- containing liquid resin and cured. A method for manufacturing the magnet comprises the steps of mixing the rare earth element quenching magnetic powder and the resin, compression molding the mixture, first curing the molded form, impregnating the cured mixture under reduced pressure with rust preventive agent-containing liquid resin, and second curing the mixture impregnated with the resin. Epoxy resin containing the rare earth element quenching magnetic powder and the two types of curing agents may be mixed. |
