PURPOSE:To condition an Na ion electrode which is being measured, by mixing NH4F.HF of such a low concentration into a dilution liquid that keeps the total concentration within a reference for an exhaust liquid. CONSTITUTION:NH4F.HF preliminarily stored in a conditioning tank 10 has a low concentration. The total concentration when the NH4F.HF is mixed with a diluting liquid and a sample liquid is set to be, for example, not higher than 0.01M. By manipulating a switch valve 11, the stored liquid is supplied into a diluting liquid tank 9 and fully stirred by a stirring means 9a set in the tank 9. Then, after the NH4F.HF is stirred and mixed with the sample liquid and the diluting liquid, the mixed liquid is introduced to an ion electrode part 12. Effective conditioning of an Na ion electrode is accordingly performed with the NH4F.HF of such a degree of concentration as above while keeping touch with the Na ion electrode during the measurement, and the NH4F.HF is discharged as it is. |
