PURPOSE:To rapidly perform consecutive focus control, and to eliminate an unpleasant actuation noise generated in such a case by providing a correction arithmetic means and a correction control means. CONSTITUTION:This camera is provided with a range-finding means 2, a focus control means 4, and a consecutive focusing mode. In the case of a consecutive focusing mode, range-finding and focus control are repeated in a state where a 1st switch 5 is turned on, and when a 2nd switch 6 is turned on, the range- finding is stopped and a shutter is opened/closed to perform exposure. Furthermore, the correction arithmetic means outputs a value obtained by subtracting the driving amount of the specified focus control having uni-directivity from the focusing position. The correction control means controls a focusing position corrected in the case of the consecutive focusing mode. When the 2nd switch 6 is turned on, the focus control is performed with the driving amount of the specified focus control. After performing the correction control, the shutter is controlled by a shutter control means 3. |
