PURPOSE:To provide the liquid crystal display device which makes a high- density color display on a small screen. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal display device consists of a liquid crystal panel 1 which has a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between two transparent substrates provided with electrode films, >=2 kind of color filter elements 6a-6c of the same size which are regularly provided to liquid crystal display panel 1 by pixels 5 formed of the electrode films, and a photoconductive plate 2 which is provided movably on the display surface of the liquid crystal display panel 1 in parallel to the display panel; and the photoconductive plate 2 is provided with tapered photoconductive parts 7, increasing in size toward the display surface, corresponding to the pixels 5, and photoconductive end parts 7a of the photoconductive part 7 as display-panel side end parts are formed to a size corresponding to the respective color filter elements 6a, 6b, and 6c. |
