A transportable picture-projecting device for projecting slide originals on a plane or curved surface, having a light source which is arranged in a closed ventilated housing in the focal point of a reflector in a manner fixed in terms of housing but replaceable, and at least one lens (objective) as well as devices for holding and exchanging the slide originals, having a low-voltage discharge lamp arranged in the focal point of a reflector system and a condenser system with at least two lenses, having a three-lens front (attachment, supplementary) lens arranged on support rods at a distance from the housing in the projection beam path as well as a motor-driven fan below the reflector and condenser systems, whose cooling air flow, divided into at least two flow directions, covers the reflector system, the discharge lamp and the condenser system as well as the slide original.
