A component test stand for motor vehicle side components and motor vehicle seats is presented for crash simulation of a side impact, in which a vehicle seat is fastened on a sheet-metal bottom and in which a motor vehicle side component is displaceably mounted laterally alongside the vehicle seat. A collision component provided with a deformation element impacts, in this test stand, laterally against the vehicle side component and, with this, against the vehicle seat. To provide a stationary component test stand, it is proposed to arrange the sheet-metal bottom (1) and the vehicle seat (2) movably in the component test stand, to support a vehicle side component (3) via holding devices (21, 22) in guide tracks (6, 7), to mount a collision component (5) together with a deformation element (4) movably in guide tracks (8, 9) and to couple the collision component (5) with a piston-cylinder arrangement (10, 11), which is connected via a control valve (16) and a pressure medium reservoir (15) to a pressure medium pump (12). <IMAGE>
