PURPOSE:To vary a timbre without using many waveform memories by storing a source waveform and its processed waveform in alternate addresses with one waveform memory when the timbre is varied. CONSTITUTION:The original waveform is inputted (S1), every other signal is picked up (S2) from the 1st frame (or address) and the signal is processed into a desired waveform (S3). For example, filtering is performed. This waveform is denoted as a waveform A. On the other hand, every other waveform is picked up from the 2nd frame (address) of the original waveform (S4) and this is denoted as a waveform B. Then, the waveforms A and B are stored alternattely in the waveform memory (S5) according to their addreses. Thus, the waveforms A and B are stored in alternate addresses of one waveform memory to vary the timbre with a slight waveform memory. |
