摘要 PURPOSE:To automatically conduct a dividing test so as to discriminate a fault part when a fault occurs in the system buses of a communication system and an information processing system. CONSTITUTION:A maintenance bus 54 is provided, and a system bus 51 where the bus fault occurs is switched to a preliminary system bus 52. Present-use or preliminary CPU detaches all preliminary function blocks 540-54n from the preliminary system bus 52 through the maintenance bus 54, and preliminary CPU 540 is connected to the preliminary system bus 52 through the maintenance bus 54. Furthermore, the preliminary function blocks 541-54n except for preliminary CPU are sequentially connected to the system bus 51 through the maintenance bus 54. The driver receiver of the function block where the bus fault occurs at the time of connection is the fault driver receiver. When the bus fault occurs, the connected function block is detached, and the preliminary function blocks except for the function block are sequentially connected. Then, communication is executed with preliminary CPU 540 in the same way through the preliminary system bus 52, and it is recognized whether the bus fault occurs or not. Then, the normality of the remaining function blocks is learnt.
