发明名称 METHOD FOR MEASURING CONCENTRATION OF ZINC IN CADMIUM-ZING ALLOY
摘要 PURPOSE:To easily determine a terminal point of dezincification by constituting a chemical battery using cadmium-alloy as a negative pole and high purity cadmium as a positive pole, employing caustic soda as a flux layer and continuously measuring the concentration of zinc in the zinc-cadmium alloy. CONSTITUTION:A molten liquid of cadimum-zinc alloy 1 is put in an iron crucible 6, and caustic soda is added onto the molten metal, whereby a flux layer 2 is formed. The layer prevents the oxidation of cadmium by the air and works as an electrolyte, High purity cadmium is inserted into a magnetic protecting tube 4 with a flux insertion hole opened at a side face thereof, which is used as a positive pole. A lead wire 7 passed through a magnetic tube 5 is dipped in the molten liquid 1, which is a negative pole. A chemical battery is thus constituted. When the electromotive force of the chemical battery is continuously measured, the proceeding of a dezincifying reaction can be detected, and a terminal point of the dezincification is easily determined.
