PURPOSE:To provide the automatic accompaniment device which plays an accompaniment varying naturally according to changes of chords with a small quantity of data. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 6 deforms an accompaniment pattern (basic accompaniment pattern) for a basic chord (e.g. CMajor) according to data in a deformation description memory and generates an accompaniment pattern for a specified (target)chord. The deformation description memory stores data for deforming the accompaniment pattern with a sound kind level. The accompaniment pattern is deformed stepwise through the deformation description memory. After the accompaniment pattern for the designated chord is generated with the sound kind level, a CPU 6 converts each sound kind of the pattern into a pitch through accompaniment sound range data and scale decoded data. |
