PURPOSE: To visually separating pictures which are generated from raster data from pictures that are generated from vector data. CONSTITUTION: As a block 902 depicts, utility calculates offset from a standard position of a bar (block 903) when a user offsets a slider bar. When such offset is calculated, the utility notifies any changes to a color manager and then the color manager makes every color allocated on the slider bar brighter or darker (blocks 904 and 905) based on the slider bar which is offset in a specified direction by a user. This operation is accomplished by means of an adjustment factor by adjusting every color table entry which is stored in a color designated storage means.
