摘要 Localisation of discrete objects, such as blood vessel sections, in a plane is achieved using a small number of 1-D projections. This is quicker than taking a full set of phase-incremented 2-D projections and is particularly efficient when the number of objects is low. Projection ambiguities are remedied, if they exist, by using further projection angles or utilising amplitude data from each object. Phase and amplitude modulation may also be applied to resolve ambiguities. Selective RF excitation may be applied to create a regular grid of observed zones which inherently lacks projection ambiguities. <IMAGE>
