<p>PURPOSE:To provide the production of a color filter enabling the application of a color resist contg. much pigment component and showing big thixotropic property on a substrate in an uniform thin film by a method suitable for an in-line production. CONSTITUTION:After a color resist 24 essentially consisting of an org. pigment, a water soluble binder resin and photo-crosslinking agent and formed by blending them so as to satisfy P>V when the weight of the org. pigment is regarded as P and the weight of the water soluble binder resin is regarded as V is supplied by spraying on the transparent substrate 21, it is uniformly coated by bar coating. After that, the color resist 24 is exposed and developed selectively to form a transparent colored layer in picture element regions on the substrate 21 for producing the color filter.</p> |
